Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 2026
At Michael Keane Weddings, I am committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy explains when, why, and how I collect personal information about people who visit my website, how I use it, and how I keep it secure.
1. Who I Am
I am Michael Keane, the owner and data controller of Michael Keane Weddings, based in South Wales, UK. If you have any questions regarding this policy or how your data is handled, you can email me via the contact form.
2. What Information Do I Collect & How?
I only collect the basic information necessary to run my photography business and provide you with a great service.
Information you give me (via my Contact Form): When you fill out my contact form to ask about my photography services, I collect your name, your partner’s name, your email address, your wedding date, your venue location, and any details you choose to share about your day.
Information collected automatically (via Cookies): When you visit this website, I use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about how you use the site (such as which pages you visit and how long you stay). This uses "analytical cookies" to help me understand how my website is performing.
3. How I Use Your Information
I will only ever use your personal data when the law allows me to. Most commonly, I use your data to:
Respond to your initial wedding inquiry and send you my pricing guides.
Fulfill our contract (e.g., to coordinate your wedding day photography, deliver your final image galleries, and send invoices).
Improve this website based on the anonymous data collected by Google Analytics.
I will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How Long Do I Keep Your Data?
Inquiry Data: If you get in touch but decide not to book, I will delete your contact form details after [e.g., 12 months to try and avoid contacting you again].
Client Data: If you book me as your wedding photographer, I will keep your contact details and contract on file for as long as required by UK tax law (usually 6 years after the financial year in which the contract ended).
5. Third-Party Services I Use
To run my business, I share some data with trusted third-party platforms that help me deliver my services:
Google Analytics: To analyze website traffic (completely anonymous).
Pic-Time: To host and deliver your private online wedding gallery.
Google Workspace: to store client information (booking forms, invoices etc)
All of these third-party services are fully GDPR-compliant and secure.
6. Your Legal Rights (UK GDPR)
Because you are based in the UK, you have several rights regarding your personal data. You have the right to:
Request a copy of the personal data I hold about you.
Ask me to correct any incorrect information.
Ask me to delete your personal data from my systems (where legally permissible).
Withdraw your consent to my cookies at any time by clearing your browser cache.
To make any of these requests, simply email me at via the contact form email if it was provided, and I will sort it out for you immediately.
Thanks,
Mike.
