I had the pleasure of photographing Sian and Laytons wedding at Coed Y Mwstwr in Bridgend. It was a very chilled day with friends and family enjoying the April sun in the wonderful garden.
By the look on everyones faces they had a great time drinking, eating and having fun and on days like this, I do wish I was a guest!
As day flowed into night with the evening guests arriving they had a brilliant local band, The Story Goes, play their first dance and kept the guests on the dance floor with their awesome tunes!
Another fantastic wedding.
The sun did shine for Sarah and Shaun when they got married at St. Audries Park in February. It was a fantastic day, celebrated with their closest friends and family. The day began with Sarah and Shaun getting ready at the venue, which has some really awesome rooms, full of space and natural light.
The civil ceremony was held in the Orangery with its glass roof, white pillars and incredible light. Shaun looked nervous and Sarah was so emotional walking down the aisle, but this quickly changed to the biggest smiles and lots of laughs.
After the ceremony, guests pelted Sarah and Shaun with an absolute tonne of confetti before canapes and drinks in the garden. I don’t like to rush into group photos or any posed pictures too soon as I think it takes away from that initial buzz of OMG, WE’RE MARRIED! Now give me a drink! So after things had calmed down we did some group photos and grabbed a few shots of before they headed inside for their wedding breakfast.
With the wedding being in February and being so sunny, we were lucky enough to get some sexy low level sun and night time shots all by 7pm and by 9pm they had their first dance to one of their favourite Mumford and Sons tunes and shortly after, I left them with their guests to party the night away.
Stephen and Hannah were such fun and possibly the most chilled bride and groom so far. I thought I was chilled until I met these two. Nothing phased them!
The day started with groom prep which is definitely becoming a popular choice. I had the pleasure of spending the morning with Stephen and his groomsmen as they got ready and headed into town for a drink at The Wine Bar in Stamford where they were meeting guests. Before the short walk to the church.
Stephen was the most emotional groom I’ve ever seen, it was awesome! After the brief ceremony we headed on over to the Grange Farm. As you can see from the pics it is a lovely venue. The staff are also some of the most welcoming and accommodating I’ve had the pleasure of working with. There was a lot of care and pride.
Rather than a traditional sit down meal, Stephen and Hannah had freshly made pizzas and gelato (they were delicious!) from the guys at Mangiamo which they cook in converted Fiat 500c!
Simon and Ashleigh married at their local church in Ebbw Vale before heading down to Miskin Manor Hotel for their reception and evening entertainment.
I’m so lucky getting to spend time with couples like these. So down to earth and thoughtful. We had some heavy showers throughout the day but managed to find shelter in a nearby wood to take some romantic shots.
This was a really nice low key wedding. Gavin and Nicola are a wonderful couple and you could really see how important family was to them. They got married at the Hare and Hounds in Tetbury, which is another great all in one location not far from Bristol.
All in all, a great day!
What an amazing day this was! So much fun being around these amazing people, I wish I could have been a guest!
Chris and Sam married in St Cyriacs before heading to Notton Fields, Lacock for a marquee wedding and some incredible Texas BBQ from the guys at Smoke Catering. The cakes on the table were for their Bake Off inspired baking competition and from the pictures, you can see who won!
Despite the rain they clearly had a day to remember and partied hard into the night.
It was so hard choosing what photo’s to put up as there were so many moments captured. I may just keep adding more!
What a day this was. I had the great honour of capturing the day for two close friends of mine at National Museum Cardiff.
This day was different to a normal wedding. As being friends with Joe meant I had the pleasure of spending plenty of time him and the rest of the guys in the morning.
I’m obviously going to be ever so slightly biased when I say this, but the day was near enough perfect. It did help that I got to have a few beers and hang around with loads of friends! Also, the team at the National Museum were brilliant and ensured everything ran smoothly.
Amazing day with a killer hangover :-)
James and Sophia couldn’t have had better weather for their wedding in May. One of the hottest days on record! The day started with bridal prep at Sophia’s parents house, that overlooked the river seven and what a view that was, I could have sat there all day. We then headed a short distance to the church (so short that you could see from the house) for an entertaining service. Then a quick 20min drive into Gloucester to Blackfriars for the reception. Such a great day full of emotion, dancing and laughs!
Where to begin… Owlpen Manor is such a good all in one location for a wedding with great service; and Lucy and Peter were such a nice couple making us feel so welcome. They were kind enough to share with us some amazing food from Woodruffs Organic Cafe.
Plus, Peter the little genius had made hundreds of pints of different home brewed beers from cider to IPA, ruby ale and pilsners and served them all from a home made bar! We even got to sample a few and they were delicious!
All in all, a great day that ran so smooth from start to finish.
Don’f forget to mention me if you book with Woodruffs or Owlpen Manor!
What can I say... being friends with this awesome duo, I'm slightly biased when saying this was an amazing day. So chilled, everyone just had fun and relaxed in the festival wedding vibes in the big marquee.
The food and drink flowed all day and night and the music played until the early hours. We even had an impromptu photobooth!
This is my kind of wedding! Andy and Lisa hired a whole barn and farmhouse down in Exeter at Higher Eggbeer with a pool for a late night swim, games room, and two bar areas (self service!) and tepee camping… The best men even wrote quite a moving and comical song instead of the traditional speech. What a day!
Well... what can I say about these guys, other than photographers dream couple! Totally natural around the camera and just had fun with us taking the pics! Having already got married in the US of A, they came back to Brasenose College, Oxford, where they first met, for a blessing and awesome party... You guys rock!
A great day starting with bridal prep photos at the Avon Gorge Hotel, then a traditional church ceremony at the imposing Christ Church in Clifton. Followed by a wonderful reception at Goldney Hall, Bristol. We had rain, sun, wind, then back to sun! The venue looked amazing with everyone having a great time drinking and enjoying the eventually good weather! They then finished the evening with a traditional ceilidh band with me ending up caught in the middle of a whirlwind of people!
This awesome pair got married and had their reception at Bailbrook House Hotel in Bath. Some great locations to shoot both in and outdoors. I'm often outnumbered, being the only Welsh at the wedding, but with Victoria and her family I felt right at home!
These two lovely people got married and had their reception at Pencoed House Estate, just outside of Cardiff on one of the coldest days of the year! They were absolute troopers braving the cold.
What a lovely couple these two were. So down to earth. The day started with some great weather, then came the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen in the UK. I feared for my cameras! But that didn’t stop us capturing some awesome shots at the Lysaghts Institute.
Steve and Lianne had a traditional church wedding followed by a marquee at the rugby club for the reception. It was a great day with great weather and lots of laughs from the speeches.
Jason and Beth got married and had their reception at the Barn at Brynich. We were worried Jason and the Groomsmen wouldn’t make it on time as they decided on a quick walk up Pen y Fan in the morning! But they made it back with time to spare. The food was incredible. Jason being South African had chosen a traditional Braai. Lots of tasty BBQ!
These two were super stylish and partied harder than anyone. Being caught in the middle of a Greek money dance is something I wont soon forget! The Malthouse Bar & Kitchen in Stroud was a great location for their reception as it was modern and stylish, just like Mario and Angela!
